Baked Brandied Cranberries

This recipe is a family favorite at Thanksgiving. Definitely a gourmet twist on canned cranberry sauce! It's easy to make and bake and will add both aroma and taste to your annual holiday meal. Preheat oven to 350°F.


1 bag fresh cranberries, 12 oz.

1 1/2 cups sugar

2 teas grated orange peel

3 Tbsp brandy or orange juice

 

  1. In ungreased 1-1/2-quart casserole, mix all ingredients. Cover.
  2. Bake 20 minutes. Uncover casserole; stir mixture. Bake uncovered 30 to 40 minutes longer or until cranberries pop and mixture is slightly thickened. 
  3. Serve warm or cold.
